Every book convention must have authors. There’s no question about it and I am working hard to ensure that we not only have a ton of fun people to hang out with, but there’s a wide range of genre talent as well. I know many readers tend to stick with their preferred genres, and there’s nothing wrong with that; but you never know what you’ll find, what you’ll like, until you take a leap of faith.
With that in mind, let me introduce you to two more fabulous authors who will be taking the plunge with me and coming to Rust City 2016! Make sure you keep an eye out as more authors are announced!
Linda’s inspiration comes from her favorite authors and life itself. Her women’s fiction highlights characters that peel away outer layers of life to discover the heart of their dreams with some unexpected twists and turns along the way. Her writing integrates humor found in everyday situations, as well as touching moments that make readers connect with her characters. Maggie’s Way is her debut novel, in her Montana Bound Series. She is currently working on Maggie’s Fork in the Road and Maggie’s Montana.
Linda has an Associates Degree in Interior Design and a Master’s Degree in Reading and Language Arts with undergraduate work in Elementary Education and Fine Arts. She wrote and illustrated a children’s book titled, The Hunter for her Master’s Degree. Linda is a member of RWA, as well as the Greater Detroit Chapter of RWA.
Dennis Collins is a native Detroiter. Growing up on the west side of this east/west city he attended school at St Mary- Redford, Redford High and Cass Technical High School. After a successful engineering career in the automobile industry, he found his true calling as a mystery novelist. He has five published novels at this point featuring a private investigator and two Detroit homicide detectives. All of his books have been favorably reviewed in newspapers as well as review sites such as Midwest Book Review and Myshelf.com.
Dennis now writes from the solitude of his home facing Lake Huron at the tip of Michigan’s thumb. His hobbies have included adventurous endeavors such as flying, scuba diving, sky diving, motorcycle racing and over thirty years as a professional inboard hydroplane owner and driver. He rides his Harley whenever the weather permits.
A.J. Norris is a lover of all books but her loyalty remains with her first crush; romance. She graduated from college with a degree in absolutely nothing to do with writing whatsoever. It wasn’t until well after college when the build-up of voices inside her head became too overwhelming and needed to be let out, that she began to write. She isn’t following a family legacy of writers, only a need to put words on a piece of paper.
The author is a movie buff, especially book adaptations, loves watching her son play baseball and communing with other writers. She lives with her family who are extremely tolerant (at least most of the time) of all her late nights behind the computer, clack-clacking away.
