Shelf Addiction has been talking with Jillian David (plus there’s an excerpt for Legacy Lost), Jenny Trout, and Bronwyn Green. If you’re interested in learning more about these authors, you should head over and see what they have to say. You can also get a glimpse of the Doms of the FBI Series by Michele Zurlo if you’re looking for something new to read.
Not only is AJ Norris one of our fabulous attending (and returning) authors, but she also runs Magical Pages Book Blog with M. Rain Ranalli. Since she is going to be joining us next week at #RustCity17, she wanted to get to know her fellow authors a little better by asking them a few questions. Their answers might surprise you, so make sure you see what Nancy Northcott, Susana Ellis, Suzanne Sabol, Stephen Osborne, Evan Heuker, Roselynn Cannes, Donna MacMeans, Jillian David, Kathy Lyons, Ann Lawson / Becca Johnson, Caroline Warfield, Linda Bradley, and Sara Dobie Bauer.
Every book convention must have authors. There’s no question about it and I am working hard to ensure that we not only have a ton of fun people to hang out with, but there’s a wide range of genre talent as well. I know many readers tend to stick with their preferred genres, and there’s nothing wrong with that; but you never know what you’ll find, what you’ll like, until you take a leap of faith.
With that in mind, let me introduce you to two more fabulous authors who will be taking the plunge with me and coming to Rust City 2017! Make sure you keep an eye out as more authors are announced!
Sara Dobie Bauer is a writer, model, and mental health advocate with a creative writing degree from Ohio University. She spends most days at home in her pajamas as a book nerd and sex-pert for SheKnows.com. Her short story, “Don’t Ball the Boss,” was nominated for the 2015 Pushcart Prize, inspired by her shameless crush on Benedict Cumberbatch. She lives with her hottie husband and two precious pups in Northeast Ohio, although she would really like to live in a Tim Burton film. She is the author of Life without Harry, Forever Dead, Wolf Among Sheep, and Bite Somebody.
Jillian David lives near the end of the Earth with her nut of a husband and two bossy cats. To escape the sometimes-stressful world of the rural physician, she writes while on call and in her free time. She enjoys taking realistic settings and adding a twist of “what if.” Running or hiking on local trails often promotes plot development.
Don’t miss your chance to meet some amazing authors at Rust City Book Con next August! Come join us as we celebrate the authors who write the stories we love to read in the Motor City! Early-bird registration is open until 11:59pm EST on 3/31/2017!
